Take me back 2

Continued from   Take me back              Just like that, my brain replays that crazy and wild night, back then before love ilinionesha shege kweli  kweli, nilikuwa na my then gal (Some how I'd forgotten all about her) , my Boyz and their women at a a certain club along Kiambu road, sikumbuki ni gani.  A couple of guys clearly drunk had bumped into my gal and her group while she was coming from the washrooms accompanied by her group (my Boyz women's). ( To this very day, I have never grasped why women go to the washrooms in groups),  After being told to watch where they are going by my gal, this guys, instead of apologizing, they became arrogant. They started raining vulgar insults on my gal and her group (my Boyz women's).  Mimi niko somewhere just sipping my drinks while observing the fruckus. I locked eyes with my gal at some point during my observation, saw all the balancing tears that were threatening to spill from her ey...

It’s a feeling I can’t explain.

Najua unangoja plot moja safi ya mapenzi ka Zora. Ni wewe naongelea, wewe. Wacha kujifanya si wewe naongelesha, ati unaangalia kando.

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Relax, pour a little something something to sip to find out. Milk, juice, water, whiskey , Gin or whatever you may be using. The week started out…

Aaah.., nimeanza mbali.

Fast forward >>

I’m in this new hood with a couple of objectives in mind for the day but the main ones are two. One, transact some business with a certain fella, then meet up with a certain chick I vibed with a couple of days ago.

Whipping the phone out to call the fella we were to do some business with. I call him and he gives me directions on where to find him.

Then I hear some voices behind me,

“Brathe,”

“si utuokolee za chai..”

“hio simu umeweka kwa mfuko ikuje pia..”

I scoff, like wtf.., then I start walking away. It must have made them mad because the next thing was a heavy blow which wizzed past me because I almost tripped. But my reply, ayayaya!

It was quick and accurate.

It found it’s target and destabilized him. The fight was on, there was no denying it. No retreat, no surrender. They surrounded me, searching for an opening. It would be a hard fight.

Chances of me actually winning were too slim for my taste. Come rain or sunshine was I determined to take one or two to either the hospital or the morgue.

Four against one, it was not a fair one but let me ask you, what in this life we live is fair..? Come forward, don't be afraid and tell me, I won't bite.

One thing in this city no one helps you when you are in need.

They watch on, as spectators then come forward to act as witnesses when the news crew rolls in.

The fight was long and heavy. There were times I was getting beat, then other times they got the full taste of my fist. My energy was waning, it was just a matter of time before they win and got what they wanted all along.

Shit.. my goose was about to be cooked,
real good…

I heard the sound of glass crashing then one of them dropping like a bag of cement. The other was given a slap from the back of the hand.

Saliva spilling out of the attackers face in a curve. Shit, I only get to see stuff like that in the movies.

I was damn bloody all over and with a black eye to begin with, but when I saw who it was I couldn’t believe it. My head might have been knocked a little too hard during the fight.

It was my old man.. I want to swear that he might be in the secret service. How else can you explain how me and him keep running into each other in unlikely places? Kwa pedi, club, kwa traffic etc

Back to the story..

Adrenaline and a rush of energy is what I felt and the fight took a new turn. Excited like when I was ten years old watching WWE WrestleMania.

The way we thrashed the three that were remaining, they’ll think twice before attempting such shit again and it’s going to be in a while.

I don’t know whose eyes they glanced into and saw if they don’t get find their asses out, they will end up 6ft deep. They took off, it’s surprising they even had that energy left in the them.

Funny thing when things are about to go to shit that’s when a certain glimmer of hope appears. I was wounded, that much is true but I was busting with pride. How many of y’all can boast fighting alongside your old man?

If you have raised your hands, let me see them.

We hadn’t spoken in like 5+ years due to the last time we spoke we were at each other’s throats. That didn’t stop him from diving in because men have a code and we follow it like IT gurus.

Family is what’s important, Vin Diesel tries to tell you all every damn time, but not all of you listen, do you? My old man couldn’t allow his own to be whooped good while he could help out.

That’s the other reason he jumped in without even thinking twice. We walked away like the badasses we were, feeling like Napoleon or any other conqueror to have ever graced the field of war.
