  People out here are angry, really angry. I know this is no way to start a story, but relax it's heading somewhere, I promise. It's a chilly morning and I'm at a bank waiting for my turn to be served, service yao ilikuwa imeanza kusumbua from Monday, but hey, that's a story for another time. I could feel like I was a bit out of place, you know? because the last time I remember I was in a bank was many years ago, when I was on campus, paying for my fees. So where was I?  Oh yes, there is this guy who is seated like 2 or three seats away from me, bigger and older than me from the looks of it, looks like a business man, or in lay man terms jamaa wa madeals. After a few minutes waiting, he starts getting impatient, and frustrated so he starts complaining, why is the service taking so long, can't they go a little faster, and so on and so forth.  I'm seated ther...

Cycle of Professional freelancing.

Hii ndio hukuwa the good times of freelancing. Everything goes so well, you might be tempted to forget the devil, trouble or whatever scares the shit out of you even exists.

Hii stage hukuwa bitter sweet. Sweet in that, uko in the best deals, una work at optimal level and the money is good, very good. Bitter in the case uko busy all the time, time ya ku relax, interactions na kuwa burnt out.

The plateau stage.

Hii stage, jobs kuanza kuflow na a slower pace than before. Hii stage huwa unaona ka uko na bahati ju jobs zina flow na rate fiti na unaweza pumua. Hii stage ndio hukuwa na warning signs. Ukiwa mjanja utacheki tu hio sign dry spell ahead na siongelei ile ya mechi bana.

Scarcity.

Hapa ndio hu reveal everything about a professional freelancer. Hapa ndio the true test hukuja ka uko real ama were you just faking.

Recovery.


To better understand this stage imagine and visualize yourself umeenda 72hrs without food, then after upate food in little quantities, one after another at irregular intervals.

Then the cycle repeats itself, over and over again.

Nimeona picture kwa meme fulani, ikanipeleka tour down memory lane. Many moons ago, nikiwa primary.
